Say it. See the tooth chart.

Dictate a dental exam in English or Hinglish — “36 number me deep distal caries hai, 24 irreversible pulpitis, 46 missing” — and watch the chart fill itself. A free taste of Odontra voice charting.

Separate items with commas or full stops. Use tooth numbers (36, “three six”, LL6) or names (“lower left first molar”). Words like “advised” or “karna hai” put an item in the plan.

Typing and reading happen in your browser. Odontra does not receive or save anything. This free demo follows simple rules, it is not medical advice and it never suggests a diagnosis or treatment: it only files what you say.

How it works

You type or say your findings the way you would to your assistant. The page looks for tooth numbers and for the dental words you used, and files each one on the chart under Finding, Existing work or Plan. It does not use AI and it never adds anything you did not say, so what it charts is exactly what you can read in the table.

How to dictate

  • Say the tooth first, then what you found: “36 deep distal caries, 24 irreversible pulpitis”.
  • Separate items with a comma or a full stop. “36 and 37 caries” works for two teeth at once.
  • Tooth numbers can be FDI (36, 11), spoken (“three six”, “thirty six”), Palmer (LL6, UR8) or names (“lower left first molar”, “upper right wisdom tooth”). Add “milk” for primary teeth, or use 51–85.
  • Plan or done? Words like “advised”, “needs”, “planned”, “karna hai” make an item a plan. “Done”, “treated”, “laga hai”, “old” make it existing work.
  • Negatives are skipped: “46 no caries” or “caries nahi hai” charts nothing, and tells you it skipped it.

What it understands

Findings: caries, irreversible pulpitis, reversible pulpitis, pulpitis, pulp necrosis, abscess, periapical lesion, crown fracture, root fracture, fracture, cracked tooth, mobility, impacted, sensitivity, retained root, attrition, abrasion, erosion, gingival recession, calculus, gingivitis, periodontitis, gingival bleeding, periodontal pocket, discoloration.

Existing work or status: missing, extracted.

Work that can be existing or planned: root canal treatment, filling, crown, bridge, implant, post & core, pulpotomy, sealant, extraction, scaling, whitening.

Surfaces and details: mesial, distal, occlusal, buccal, lingual, palatal, labial, incisal, cervical, MOD, mobility grades 1 to 3, and filling materials (composite, GIC, amalgam). It reads English and Hinglish, plus common words in Hindi and Gujarati script.

What it will not do

It will not diagnose, suggest a treatment or fill in anything you did not say. It can miss an unusual phrase, which is why “What was understood” is always shown and any tooth it could not place is listed under “Check these”. Edit the text and the chart updates at once.

Voice input

The microphone button appears in browsers that support speech recognition, mainly Chrome and Edge. The audio is converted to text by your browser’s speech service, not by Odontra, and we never receive it. Please do not say patient names. If your browser has no microphone button, typing works the same way.

This is a taste of Odontra voice charting

This demo follows simple rules. Odontra’s voice charting understands whole sentences in English, Hindi and Gujarati, removes names and phone numbers before dictation reaches the AI, and lets you tick every finding before it reaches the chart and the treatment plan.
