Whatever your speciality, Odontra opens on your work.
An endodontist, an oral surgeon and an orthodontist open the same patient — and each sees their own work first: what to check, their own record card, their treatment steps and the after-care that falls due. A general dentist sees everything.

General dentist
Every speciality, one clinic
A doctor with no speciality — or with four or more — sees the full view with every card, exactly as before. Switch to a specialist focus for the day when a case needs it.
Treatment step trackers
Every step ticked. The next one named.
A tap ticks a step today. The plan shows what is done and what is next, “Treatment today” offers the next step, and the next visit is named after it.
Root canal

Example on the first row: two steps done, “Next: Obturation”. Single-visit work — fillings, extractions, CEREC crowns — has no steps.
After-care follow-ups
The follow-up after the treatment, without a reminder diary.
Follow-ups → “After-care due” lists what falls due, from a few days before. A visit since, a booking ahead or the step ticked takes it off the list.
—Suture removal — 7 days after a surgical extraction, wisdom tooth, flap, biopsy or implant stage 1
—Gum re-evaluation — 6 weeks after Phase I
—Implant stage 2 — about 3 months after stage 1
—Review X-ray — 6 and 12 months after a root canal
—Shown to the desk only: a message goes when the desk taps to send it
Your own words
Empty templates, written by your clinic.
For surgery, endo, implant, perio, pedo and oral medicine, Odontra adds empty consent forms, post-op instructions and prescription templates with the headings only. They stay drafts — never offered, printed or sent — until your clinic writes its own text and approves it. No drug, dose or legal wording is written for you.
Does Odontra work for a specialist, not only a general dentist?
Yes. Each doctor’s speciality decides what comes first: their own visits and pending work on the home screen, a “Check first” line on the diagnosis report, their own record card, treatment step trackers and the after-care that falls due. Endodontist, oral surgeon, orthodontist, periodontist, prosthodontist, pedodontist, implantologist, cosmetic dentist and oral medicine specialist each have their own focus.
How does Odontra know my speciality?
In Settings → Team the clinic ticks each doctor’s specialities, and in Logins & access each doctor’s login is linked to their name on the team. One speciality becomes the focus; with two or three the first one; with none or four and more the doctor sees the general view with everything.
Is anything hidden from the other doctors?
No. A speciality only reorders, opens and highlights. The record underneath is the same for everyone — a report written by the surgeon reads the same for the endodontist next door, and every section stays one tap away.
Can a general dentist switch to a specialist view?
Yes. A “Focus” switch on the diagnosis report and the home screen changes it for the day, on that device — for example to Oral Surgeon before an extraction.
Does Odontra write consent forms or post-op instructions for my speciality?
No clinical or legal text is written for you. Odontra adds empty forms with the headings for a speciality — consent, post-op instructions and prescription templates — and they stay drafts until your clinic writes its own text and approves it.
Are after-care messages sent to patients by themselves?
No. Suture removal, gum re-evaluation, implant stage 2 and review X-rays appear in the desk’s “After-care due” list. A message goes only when the desk taps to send it.
